Human Induced Activities – Science Reflection , Term 1.

Throughout the term from week 1-7 I’ve learnt many things about human induced activities and how they impact the four spheres. I learnt how the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, mining, and much more human induced activities can impact the four spheres. In which these impacts lead to global warming, acid rain, eutrophication, and ocean acidification.

I learnt the importance of each sphere and how they keep the Earth thriving day to day, and why it is important to keep these spheres safe in order to let our planet grow and maintain health. Over the term I worked with others and participated in group work, such as presentations, and sharing what one another has learnt.

I learnt how much impact humans have on the environment which connects to the spheres. Humans cause a significant amount of damage and change towards the spheres such as, pollution caused by manufacturing companies, transportation, oil leaks in the ocean, littering, deforestation, agriculture, and hunting and fishing. All of these activities lead to ecosystems, habitats, forests, and aquatic life to become destroyed.

In conclusion, I have overall learnt and acknowledged the importance and the significance of human induced activities, and how they all link, and relate to the four spheres on Earth. In gaining all of this knowledge it’s definitely raised a concern on how the world works, and thrives in different ways due to the permanent or long term effects caused by humans.
