Writing CAA Reflection

On Monday, year 10 foundation classes did their CAA reading. This was our last CAA test we took. We have already completed all three of the assessments, which were numeracy, writing, and reading.

  1. How prepared did you feel going into the exam? – Honestly, I felt really prepared and ready. Literacy is one of the things I enjoy doing the most and is also one of my strengths.

 

  1. What is something you found difficult? – One of the things I found difficult was focusing on the test. I was kind of distracted by everything around me. I would find myself lacking and staring at my Chromebook.

 

  1. Did you do any work in your own time to prepare for the exam? Did this help or harm you? Why/why not? – Before the assessment, I completed one of the practice past exams on the NZQA website. I personally think it helped me a lot because it taught me stuff I didn’t know how to do.

 

  1. How confident did you feel once you had completed the exam? – Once I completed the exam, I had so much confidence but just a little bit of worry. I had a fear that I had spelling mistakes, so  I did a spell check over all of them. Overall, I felt really confident once I finished.
