I’m learning how to write a Narrative and I’m focusing on putting speech marks when people are talking.
Jill woke up one morning in a very nice apartment. Jill was feeling sad because Jill could not find her parents. She yelled, “Mum! Dad! Where are you?”
Jill looked everywhere; they were nowhere to be seen. She looked out the window to see a black wall. She tried to go outside, but the door was locked. She tried as hard as she could, but the door was jammed shut.
Jill felt frustrated. She pulled apart the whole apartment and she found a key under the couch. She went to see if it unlocked the door. And it did! She said, “Yes! It opened!” She ran out the door.
