Ski trip recount

Ski Trip

Nerves rushed through my body as I lined up to get onto the chairlift. The chairlift slowly rose up the mountain. I could feel the cold breeze blowing on my face. I watched as experienced skiers flew down the mountain.

As the chairlift got closer to the top I started worrying about how I was going to get off. I reached the top and, surprisingly, had no struggle with getting off the lift.

I skied closer to the edge to have a look because at first glance you can’t see the slope, you can only see the mountains in the distance. I accidentally drifted off to the side trying to get closer to the slope. I had to take off my skis and walk back up to the right side.

I started to go down the slope. The only thing that was going through my mind was, how I was going to turn? During my first few turns going down the mountain I fell on my side and a few times my skies came off! I think I fell over about 10 times on my first try.

My second try went a lot better because this time I was focused on my turning. I only fell over about 7 times this time so I thought that was an improvement. The slope was quite bumpy from everyone skiing and snowboarding on their own path.

In conclusion I had a really great time and ended up going down the Easy Street slope five times and every time, I got better.
