On Wednesday 6th of September our year 6 students went on a hikoi to Manukorihi to get a taste and tour of intermediate.
We did several activities: made Dubai chocolate (see recipe in photos!), created a 3D prism, worked on some stop motion filming, and created a wooden tag for our bags in woodwork.
After morning tea we had a full tour of every classroom in the school. They got to see loads of friends that were going to Manukorihi already. Here are some photos of the members of Kōtare I had in my group. Unfortunately they were split into four groups for the day so I didn’t get photos of everyone. But here’s a taste!

This visit resulted in a visible decrease in anxiety for our year 6s, leaving WES wasn’t going to be so bad after all. Now to make sure they stay clocked in until the end of the year!
