create task two my summery
My book pathways to Niue is about how you make Haipo.Haipo takes mouths to make. One of the reasons why it takes so long to make is because you need to make everything yourself like the paints.Haipo can be made with banyan or ata trees, which gives it a different texture. After the tree is chosen, the outer bank is carefully removed. Then a line is cut the length of the trunk so delicate inner bark can be peeled away as one long strip.Once the bark is soft its laid to dry in the sun.The bark hardens a bit like paper, and then it can be painted.Traditionally this was done with black ink made by burning tutui nuts and bush made from pandanus tree.
