For literacy we are doing a novel study on the book Holes. This is my latest create, it is a letter to Stanley’s parents because in the book he lies to his parents. Here it is.
Dear Mom and Dad.
I think I made the wrong choice going to Camp Green Lake. All we do here is dig holes 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide in every direction, but that’s not the worst thing, the worst thing is the heat. Even if it’s 40 degrees celsius we still have to dig our hole. Every morning we have to get up at 4:30 am so we can avoid the hottest part of the day.
