Music Blog Post.

Kia ora welcome back or welcome to my blog. Today I will be talking about my performance I will be doing for music.

For this performance we had the option of working with others in a group or as a solo, I will be performing as solo.

I will be singing as my instrument for my performance. I am choosing this instrument because I have loved singing since I was small child and have had lots of practice with singing and singing on stage.

For this performance I will be singing Silent Noon by Vaughan Williams. I chose this song because I wanted a challenge, something that was in my vocal range, something that was a classic and something classical so that I could expand on my prior classical experience.

The music for this was written by Ralph Vaughan Williams and vocals by Daniel Gabriel Rosseti. Other than the original 1903 composition there is technically no original performance.

The genre is this song is classical and the story is about two lovers sharing peace on a field.

The most challenging part about this song is the height and variety of the notes. Each note is different and can sometimes push how high I can go in chest voice. The most difficult to learn is definitely the parts where there is no piano and I have to go off my own memory.

I am most enjoying how much I push myself with this song and how hard it is for each note.
