We have had a very interesting time with an awesome student teacher Matua Te Rangatira, we have been exploring ways to bring maths to life in many different ways and learning a lot about non-violence and peace. There has been atheletics and Ki O Rahi. We have been artistic and created some beautiful visual art. We have been weaving with Margot, learning the tikanga around using the precious taonga harakeke. Most of all, Rangaghaua have shown time and again that they are KIND.
If someone loses a chromebook, everyone helps with the searching. If someone is upset, many people offer their care and concern and if someone has made a mistake (like spilling food, drink, anything – anywhere! or being unkind) then people FIX not BLAME. This is a beautiful class culture and I am so proud of every, single ākonga.
