Last week I was away on an Outdoor Ed trip for most of the week, so I did not get the chance to do much in science. On Friday though, I was back at school and in science we did an experiment to do with a tea bag. We emptied the tea bag out, and propped it up on a foil tray. The tea bag was a thin paper cylinder after being emptied and unfolded. After this we lit the top on fire, and once the fire had burned nearly to the bottom, the paper shot up into the air. We did this lots of times, and some people’s hit the roof, while others didn’t go high at all. We also started a bit of work on a new model. At the moment we are learning a bit about forest fires, so we are going to add a forest fire to the volcano model we already made.
