On Wednesday I went to Canterburys. I went to Canturburys for long jump. I had to be at ¨Nga puna wai¨ ( the athletics club) at 9.am in the morning because my yr 6 long jump was the first thing of the day. We got three jumps and then we would find out what we got. After this one girl jumped I knew I was done for because she jumped 4.63 meters like that is heaps compared to what I jumped (3.59).I was sitting next to this girl who Henry knew she was really nice and I had a really nice time talking to her while we waited in the long line for our turn.In the end I did alright but I could have done better if I had got my run up right ( I didn’t know were to go from).After the scores came out I found out that I came 30th out of 35 people but my score doesn´t matter it was just fun to go. Then I went to go and watch Leo run his sprints he did really well coming first in his heat and 7th overall. Lastly I watched my friend from gymnastics called Lena doing the high jump.
Did anyone you know go to Canterburys ?
