NZ symphoby orchestra.

Symphony Orchestra.

Last week on Tuesday the amateur named Chris, who is in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. I was able to come to our school. He was wearing a purple coat and a pink shirt with a peekachew sticker on his shirt. Very vibrant colors for a very energetic person. We had to make a song using drums, xylophones, triangles and gambourines. I was assigned with triangles. We need to make a song about flying. Triangles were clouds, tambourines were planes, drums were a helicopter and xylophones were birds.

Making the song

We started with the xylophones. People tapped keys making chirping wings flapping sounds.

When it was the cloud group (my one). We softly tapped the triangles making a calming sound. When we shaked them.  Making heavy rain sounds. What sounded pretty real if you ask me. After us it was the helicopter group. They would smash the drum quietly then slowly increase the volume. The last group was the gambourines (say that 5 times fast.) They were the plane shaking random stuff to make jet engine sounds. The final product was amazing. They all mixed into each other making a lovely rhythm.

Learning statement. I learned that you can make music by making anything. You need lots of coordination to make music in pairs.
