Yesterday afternoon, my class went out to play a game of softball out on the field. After learning how to softball and going over the rules, we went outside and headed over to the PE Shed and got all of the softball equipment like softball, mits, bat and hula hoop (for bases.)
Next, we practiced throwing and catching the ball, I started to get very good and catching but not throwing the ball. If you were left handed you would put the mit on your right hand and throw with your left hand. It is also the same with your right hand, you put the mit on your left hand and throw with your right hand. when we finished learning how to throw the ball we started to get ready for our softball game.
At the end of the day, we got into two groups. I was on the batting team first which meant I had to hit the ball in the diamond shaped bases, if I got 3 strikes then I got to run anyways, then we swapped over and I was on fielding which means I had to pick a base to stand in front of and in the middle where you have to throw the ball to the person with the bat. When we were done, we returned the equipment back to the PE shed and headed over to the class room to tidy up and go home.
