Saint Francis of Assisi, was born Giovanni di Pietro di Bernadone on October 3rd in Italy. When he was young he wanted to be a knight with shining armor. His father was a rich cloth merchant, but after time in prison he realised that money cannot bring happiness. He threw his rich clothes away and started feeding the poor. He wanted peace with friendship, instead of war with swords. He is the Saint of Peace and Harmony.
