What i have learnt up at the hort shed this week.

I was learning how to make up jigs to cut in a groove to put our 600mm support straps in. The straps help to keep the building to the ground so when the high wind zones start to arrive the building doesn’t try to fly away. To make the jig you have to mark  out where you want the strap to go. And you have to use a router for this job. The router makes your job 10 times easier. You can use a chisel but the router gives you cleaner lines and exact depths to be cut. To make the jig you have to mark 40mm off of your marking that you made with the strap
