This book is about a boy named Daniel who broke his leg from a bicycle accident that left him in a wheelchair. One day Daniel and his friend Jane were riding their bikes down at the local park.There were racing each other.Daniel wanted to give Jane a head start to win but then he saw Jane heading a hole so Daniel tried to save her but he went too fast on his bike, he crashed and his bike’s tire had exploded. Next thing happened was he was laying in bed at the hospital and the doctor gave him a very devastating news. sadly Daniel is now paralyzed. Finally, he came home but with a wheelchair.He was bored and felt strange with his wheelchair but soon he got used to it..one day Jane visited Daniel she even colored her bike like the color of Daniels wheelchair. That day, Daniel decided to go back to school. Next he went out side and he wanted to play soccer but he was on a wheelchair but the teacher said come join me for swimming and he said I don’t know if I could do it he said but he said he will give it a go. Next day he went to the swimming with the couch and his first day was okay but he got better at it and he loved it. He got better at swimming and he loved so much he could even do a backstroke and decided to join a swimming club. Other players thought he would be slow but the other kids soon realized that he is good especially in long distance. The swimming wanted to enter a team for long distance race. Only five was chosen and luckily Daniel was one of them. During the race a lot of people were watching and others couldn’t believe that Daniel would be able to swim the distance.Two hours were needed to complete. The race were long however he kept to a good, steady pace. Their team won 36th place out of 87 team. Daniel felt great and proud of himself. He even thinking about teaching dogs to swim in the future.
