For our Firewise learning, we spent time exploring what fire is and how it can be helpful, but also dangerous if we aren’t careful. The highlight of our learning was definitely meeting a group of firefighters and getting an up-close look at their fire trucks!
We learned all about their special gear and how each piece helps protect them while they work. We also talked about why smoke alarms are so important and practised exactly what we need to do if we ever hear one. We even got to look around the firetruck and climb inside to see all the different parts they use to keep our community safe.
It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged and listening carefully to our visitors. We were all so proud to share our new fire safety knowledge afterwards, showing just how much we’ve learned about staying safe.
