Water On Coin
Question: How many drops of water fit on a $2 coin
Research: Our research shows that 30 to 50 drops of water brill fit onto the $2 coin before water tension
Hypothesis: I Think that 9 drops will fit in the coin. Maddie thinks that 15 drops will fit in the coin.
Materials
- $2 coin
- Eye dropper
- Bealer of water
- Tissue
Procedure
- Fill up the dropper
- Drip the water on the coin
Results: Data shows that we got 55 drops of water on the $2 coin before the water came off of the coin.

Analysis: We learned that we were way I thought that we would fit 15 drops of water on the $2 coin but because of the surface tension the $2 coin was able to fit 55 drops of water.
Conclusion Our predictions were way too low. The water piled up on top of the coin. It made a type of area. There was an edge on the coin and the surface tense prevented the water from spilling over.
Our question for further investigation is how many water drops can fit on a one dollar coin?
