Science-Heart Dissection

Hello ,this is my blog about the heart dissecting I did in science class , first of all it was disgusting

We did this heart dissection  to look at a real heart to learn how it works and how it pumps blood around the body.We also identified the main parts of the heart

My observation was that the heart was dark red , soft, slimy, and squishy but also strong . The left ventricle had thick walls because it pumps blood around the body. We saw valves and the heart strings  inside the heart and blood vessels like the aorta and vena cava.

The heart is a muscle that pumps blood. The atriums bring blood in and the ventricles pump it out. The septum separates the two sides of the heart.

What I learned is that the heart is an important organ and all its parts work together to keep us alive.
