We read this story about my name is Rez her and her family came from Pakistan when she was little. They had originally lived in a part of Turkey called Kurdistan before fleeing to Pakistan. Kurdistan was considered stateless which means it’s not a country. She had to adapt to her new life in New Zealand by learning the language. She made friends by joining netball and Kapa haka she ended up having a supportive teacher making her feel welcome so when she made a mistake she would get punished but he comforted her. And then later on when she grew up she got a job as a lawyer.
