Kia ora readers,
I have been chosen as one of the leaders to be trained to run lunch games.
On Wednesday we did our first training.
The first thing we did was play a game to wait for the teacher and the trainers.
The game was called: Head, shoulders, knees and cones.
When they came we started to split into four teams.
Two groups with four people and the other two with five people.
Then we started writing down what we thought a good leader was on a peice of paper.
Some of the things my group wrote down were:
- Showing good examples
- Respecting others
- Showing integrity
- Being a role model
- Showing school values at all times
and lots more ideas
When we had finished we had to choose five of our ideas as one of the most important qualities.
My group each chose one than we discussed what the last one should be then we wrote them down on a peice of paper.
Then we wrote down on a different peice of paper and wrote down our school values and our five ideas.
When we finished we each wrote on a sticky note a role model we know. (We each did three each)
After that we did an activty called knots.
The four groups
How to play is where you make a circle with a few people then you lift your right hand and hold the person hand across from yours.
Then lift your left hand and hold the hand of a different person across the circle.
After that you have to try to untangle yourself without letting go.
My group did it two times but the second time was a little hard because we couldn’t talk or make a sound, if we did we would have to restart.
When we finished that activity the bell had rang so we all went to our classes, grabed our bags and went home.
My favoutite part about this was doing the activities.
Goodbye readers, see you soon.
