If you see light from a torch or the sun it looks clear but it’s really all the colours of the rainbow.Light travels in tiny ripples called waves some can be long and some can be short but to show how these work think of waves on a beach the waves can be short and long light waves work the exact same way. Did you know scientists measure the distance from the top of one wave to the top of the next this distance is called a wavelength. Every colour has its own special wavelength size red light has the longest laziest waves violet light has the fastest shortest waves.All the other colours orange yellow green and blue live right in the middle.Because our eyes can see this specific family of wavelength scientists call it the visible spectrum. alot of the light we can see every day is made of many colours mixed together.But have you seen a Lazer before Lazer light is purely one colour aka one wave length. what I learnt I found out that red has the longest waves and violet has the shortest video miguels’s Reading Rate
