Greetings!
We have currently started developing our artist propositions for our art class.
Framed within the category of fading light, my body of work investigates the theme of life. The way the time passes as the memories stay. Reminiscing the past and seeing how they get dimmer as it progresses. Uniqueness of the mixture of colors and themes portraying a feeling words can’t express.
To show this theme, my artwork will feature images of fruits, vegetables and daily items. These specific objects are symbols that represent the value of life. Re-arranging them in a way that makes people know their worth. Showcasing the flow of colors, shapes and textures is the characteristics of art, highly distinctive and unique to one’s eye.
Technically, I will apply my paint using a mixture of textured and smooth paint contrasting both. I will use a dark and moody color palette while showcasing a beam of light that’s natural and earthy. I’m specifically doing this to represent represent warmth while there’s darkness surrounding it.
To help solve my visual problems, I will use Mimmo Paladino as a model for my colors. While I am also looking at Vincent Van Gogh to help me understand how to approach my subject matter. Using those two artist as an inspiration to create a painting that showcases the beauty of expressing items and their uniqueness. The use of color in hopes of making you feel the emotions and warmth of each and every painting. Feeding the satisfaction that the eyes crave and desire.
