Aim: Make a model atom of boron
Equipment: Paper, tape, beads, scissors, pen and string.
Method: 5-10 numbered steps
- Pick out the one you want to make a model atom of.
- Find out the amount of protons, electrons and neutrons
- Get equipment needed for the model
- Cut out paper into 2 rings and one small circle to put in the middle
- Tape the paper to the string and add the beads following a diagram.
- Write an information card that contains the symbol, atomic number, mass number, protons, electrons, neutrons and the electron configuration.
