Book Review: My Mother and Stan and Affix work

Halo readers,

This week the year sixes have beenreading a book called my mother and Stan.

It is a book about a writer who has a computer virus called Spy master that is driving her crazy.

Seeking help she uses a phone book and discovers Stan the computer fix-it man.

She calls hims and explains her problem and the virus that was disturbing her.

In the end, Stan manages to kill the virus and has meal with home made beer.

Our teacher made an anticapation guide like for the last story we read and we answered questions.

Here is the guide:

We have alsolearned about affixes.

Affixes and a group of letters attached to a root word.

We also learned about prefixes and suffixes.

They are the same thing exept that a suffiix is a group of letters that goes at the end of a word.

We made a drawing and added the prefix E and the suffix ology/logy.

We learned about the meanings.

ology/logy means the science or study of.

The prefix E means out of.
