Today in class we were given a option to select one scenario and write a 250 word Monolog. Using 3 language techniques.
The scenario that I chose was “You back the family car into the mailbox. Do you own up or blame your sister”
Oh no oh no! The mailbox is literally bent at a ninety degree angle! Its made a massive dent! What can I do now? My Parents are gonna be pissed! If dad sees that scratch that’s the end for me.No phone.No car.No social execution.
Wait. My sister drove the car yesterday to go get food. Shes always on her phone when she drives.If I just slip the keys into her room…Yes! That’s the perfect set up.The driveway is basically begging for me to blame her.
Is it bad that I blame my own sister? Definitely. But shes Dads favourite anyways so it wont matter. She would get a gentle talk saying “you need to be more careful, its okay”, Whereas I would get the full on lecture and yelling at, never ever going to be able to use the car again.
Listen! I can hear the loud engine rumbling. The garage door slowly opening. He is coming home right now. Okay take a deep breath. I put on the most innocent face. Let the fake tears well up. “Dad! you wont believe what Phoebe did to the car!”
