Greetings and Salutations viewers, on Monday we had technology at Papakura Intermediate school. In this piece of writing I will be explaining what I did at technology involving what I learnt, what I saw, and how this learning subject helped me in my learning. So come with me on this writing journey!
Today in technology, we lined up at our school with mutters of whispers and conversations. Then we started to walk over to Papakura intermediate, which was a Monday routine that the senior school had to do after every lunch eating break. When we arrived, the gates opened gracefully and we lined back into our individual group lines, my group was ” Steam ” and for those who don’t know what that means, its basically: Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. When our teacher ” Erika ” arrived, she led us to our classroom and she was a bit irritated because she dropped her noodles in the making and worse of all, they were delicious noodles that was from her trip at Indonesia.
Then we sat down to start the lesson and some of us were already chattering about how exciting this lesson was going to be. So when Erika got ready, she started to talk about our
wood printings. She started to write on the whiteboard instructions, and so we moved to the hydroponic and tradit
ional soil planting zone and we did see progress, just a sprout if we were being honest. In the hydroponic box, we saw a little green sprout w
hich we estimated to be 3 cm.
Then we looked at the traditional soil planting, and we saw no progress but the roots were climbing up. The process of the traditional soil planting was simple, as well as the hydroponic, but in my opinion, I strongly believe that the hydroponic method will work better then traditional soil planting, not because of how fancy it sounds, but the mechanism behind the project, shows a bubbly machine that flows through water and hydrates the plants 24/7.
Then we went throug
h a process of creating two pages about hydroponic facts and traditional soil facts, I wasn’t an expert because i’m not familiar with this specific topic. And so in the end we handed in our papers, and looked at the science behind the two ways of planting. In conclusion, this topic about hydroponic and traditional soil planting helps me learn by knowing the science behind the two ways of planting, and the process between photosynthesis and hygiene that the two methods have in common. So i’ve learnt alot about hydroponic and traditional soil planting, but what about you?
