Why Pineapple Doesn’t Belong on Pizza
I want you to think about the grossest food you have ever tasted before? The first thing that comes to my head is pineapple on pizza. I am not the only person that does not like pineapple on pizza, Gordon Ramsay said “You don’t put pineapple on pizza“. So over the remained of my speech I am going to share my thoughts on why Pineapple does not belong on a pizza.
Who was the first person to make pineapple on pizza? Sam Panopoulos. Sam was born on the 20th of August 1934. He also was a Canadian cook, a businessman, and he was the inventor of Hawaiian pizza – he only did it for fun, just to see how it would taste. At Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario, Panopoulos began experimenting with pizza in an attempt to lure new customers. One of his ideas was putting pineapple on pizza as he liked the combination of savoury and sweet. He started doing it and people liked it so he continued and that was the beginning of the Hawaiian pizza.
I am sick of pineapple on pizza! Personally I don’t like pineapple on pizza; it gives me the ick! Putting pineapple on pizza is like eating chocolate cake with vegetables. Pineapple is a moist, juicy, tropical fruit that belongs in drinks—not on pizza. My argument is supported even by the president of Iceland in 2017 releasing a statement saying that if he could he would ban pineapple from pizza.
In conclusion, pineapple does not belong on pizza because it ruins the taste of the cheese and the tomato, kinda creates a soggy texture and the high sugar content of the fruit ruins it. It should just stay the same as It Is
