2. There were a number of ways that I demonstrated respect towards other cultural beliefs during this unit. I did this by respecting the individuals that were willing to write and tell us about what their cultures do when someone dies. Other things I did were trying to understand the different beliefs and how not everyone does the same.

When u show respect to other peoples culture it tells them that you know who they are and this all involves Taha Wairua.

3.  It is important that I take care of all areas of my Hāuora when I experience change, loss, or grief because it changes u as a person looking after yourself will be the only way u truly improve mentally and physically.

I can take care of my Hāuora when I experience change, loss, or grief by respecting yourself, looking after your body and speaking up. Sometimes its best to open up and talk to someone or sometimes u might deal with it yourself.

5.  I have chosen to explore and investigate the culture maori.

Interesting pieces of information about maori tend to take three days to complete the process this is called a Tangihanga.

For maori the deceased is never left alone from the moment they pass until the moment they are buried a family member or supporters sit beside them all the way.  Mourners or others will gather around and have a poroporoaki and say there farewells. Maori tend to sing to the deceased and say speeches.
