Ski Trip 2026 – photo to be added

The skiers code of conduct is the rules. Some are here:

  • stay in control at all times.
  • Know your ability,
  • start easy, be able to stop and avoid other people. Losing control is the number one cause of falls.
  • People below you have the right of way you have to watch out for the people below you because you don’t want to crash into them
  • Obey all ski area signing you want to look out for signs because you don’t want to fall of the edge or go in to a blase that is being built all the signs are for your safety
  • Stop where you can be seen when you are stopping try to move to the side of the trail and make sure you can be seen so the people from above are aware that you have stopped

When we first started, we had to do this thing that’s called scooting. It’s where you just have one ski on and the other off and you just push yourself. We did that twice, one ski on the left and  then one ski on the right. Then once we mastered that we learnt how to stop. After that we went up and down the magic carpet. Once we had done that he taught us how to turn and then we were finished.I frowned stopping the hardest my skis kept on crossing then the way I stopped was falling but one time I twisted my leg. The easiest part for me was turning, I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

To ensure I was correctly equipped,I brought everything that was mandatory. For example: my hat, my thermals, my food, my water bottle, a spare pair of clothes, sunscreen, shoes, socks, gloves, ski goggles, ski clothes but they provided the ski boots and the skis and the instructors.

What I found surprising was that it was very very cold but something else that was funny and surprising is that I thought that I would be the best the first time but I realised that it’s very hard

The ski trip was very fun, but I fell a lot and one of the times. It was not my fault as there was this girl, who sat on the poma then she fell and since I was behind her. I fell, which made me mad but the past is the past. And the 3rd or 5th time I went up on the intermediate I didn’t fall at all again. It was so much fun. If I had 1 more day I would be on the big big slope at 1 point. Yes, I would go again and I would have a lot of fun.
