Hello, everyone my name is Bailey and today I will show you my work that I have done                                                                                                    this week.
Edo Japan

Warfare

Before the Edo period, Japan experienced more than a century of civil war. Powerful warriors and daimyo, or regional lords, fought for land and power. Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu helped bring the fighting to an end. After

Hideyoshi died in 1598, Ieyasu became the most powerful leader. In 1600 he defeated his rivals at the Battle of Sekigahara. In 1603 the Emperor gave Ieyasu the title of Shogun. Ieyasu established his government in Edo, now called Tokyo. The Tokugawa family controlled Japan for around 250 years.
