The drug I am going to do my assesment on is Ecstacy. The official and scientific name for Ecstasy is MDMA, Ecstasy has a lot of different names including street names such as E, X, XTC, Molly, Mandy (used for the powdered or crystal form) , Pingers, Pingas (normally used in Australia), Eccies, Ekky, Caps, Adam, Beans, Disco biscuits, Hug drug, Love drug. Ecstasy is a illegal drug with the main ingredient being MDMA. Ecstasy is a stimulant and a mild hallucinogen which speeds up the central nervous system changing how you percept things. People who use Ecstasy experience high energy with increased eyesight and senses, empathy, or emotional closeness with other people. Ecstasy is known as a party drug and a club drug making it used commonly at concerts, festivals and more. Ecstasy is swallowed as coloured pills or tablets with brands stamped on it, Ecstasy can also be used as a powder or crystal form. Ecstasy causes dehydration, high body temperature, sweating, and jaw-clenching. Ecstasy is also easily changed to other drugs which makes it unable for users to know if its actually Ecstasy or something worse. After Ecstasy weats off users experience anxiety, fatigue and feeling really irritated.
