WALT: Check for understanding before, during and after reading texts

Today is the 24th of September 2026 Thursday !
And for today’s activity I had to do a Venn diagram!
Well it did not say that on the Create task but Whaea Annie said I could, so I did!
I had to do native species and predators and also write their similarities in the middle!
It was a bit hard because they are basically really different but I had to it!
It said to create a “Dual-perspective bush Journal” (Creative Narritive & Point of View).
I did exactly that but with a Venn diagram comparing the two species!
But before I show you the post let me tell you a bit about the book!
The book is called ” Challenge to protect the native wildlife”
Quite a long name for a text!
Basically about how predators came into New Zealand which are Rats, stoats, wild cats and more!
It also says that our native wildlife has been killed so we have to save it from the predators
They also described our predator cycle too and how they control their predators!
So we should try and protect our native wildlife !
Maybe by putting more trees and less concrete and try trap some predators!
And let me tell you a fact that I learned for the book FUN FACT: Did you know that when other predators kill our native wildlife?
I did this on a Google drawing by making a copy of my recent diagram and changing it!
