St. Johns First Aid Lesson

Today. I learnt about safety protocol and how to handle someone in danger. For example,We learnt how to take care of a person while they’re unconscious. We then were told about DRSAB. D – Danger,R – Response,S – Send for help.A – Airway,B -Breathing. We learnt these for safety of ourselves,Her name was Sue. She was a very positive and confident lady. I want her to come back next year! I enjoyed all of it,Even when my group got a bit confused,We still got a chance to fix little problems. We all went into groups of three. I was in a group with Raheel and Keadde. It was a bit chaotic. Our card of our situation was Asthma,We got an inhaler and this pump that gives you more medicine while breathing it in. It was fun and educational for all of us,after the lesson. Sue gave Whaea Pam a sign to put up on the wall In-case one of emergencies actually happens. Then gave magnets in a small bag for all of Whaea Pam’a Awhina. Then we sang “Toko Reo” in honer of our thanks. Thank you for coming to Mangapikopiko schoo, St. John’s First Aid.
