2 months ago, we went on a trip to Waimahia Intermediate School on Tuesday the 11th of August. It was for an open day-to experience a day of a year 7 & 8. At first, I thought it would be kind of boring low-key, but as we went to the stations one by one at a time into groups with other kids from Ross common, I actually thought it would be really fun and exciting at a year 7 & 8 school here. In my opinion, my favourite was Visual Arts because there were warm colours, hot colours, and cold colours at these three tables where the colours go to each table. And also, we did these bookmarks to design our own drawings on the inside, or just colour it if you don’t feel like designing and drawing your own drawings. We did tons of subjects which were: STEM, Cooking/Baking, Music, Visual Arts, Robotics, and Whanau Wero. Then we had some kai (food) which was BBQ-Sausages (Chicken or Beef), Fruit juices, our decorated cookies we made in Cooking, and popcorn. After eating, we were exhausted, with a full stomach from eating. A few minutes later around 2pm, we then left. This was an amazing day exploring, interviewing, and seeing what a year 7&8 School feels like. <_>
And I cannot wait to be at Waimahia next year!!
