My reading create task week 1 term 4 (My last term at Wigram!) 2026 l First create task of the week l The difference between Electorate votes and party votes

Introduction: Hello bloggers! Welcome back to Somya’s create task! today I have been doing my reading create task! Today for my reading create task I have been doing my create tasks for this week! The options of create tasks this week were Chili 1: Should kids be allowed to vote is the topic and the discussion is that. For this create task you have to discuss with a buddy about whether 10 year olds should be able to vote. The second create task option is that where you have to create a political party campaigning poster make up your own party and tell some reasons why people should vote you? The third option is where you have to write the difference between electorate votes and political party votes.

Deeper Explanation: Which one have I chose to do? I have chosen to do the 3rd option where you have to write the difference between electorate votes and political party votes. I have done this task on a Google doc as I made a copy 0f the Google doc as according to the reading create task. This week we have been learning about New Zealand/ Aotearoa Democracy. I am really enjoying this text though it is only day 2. To say the truth this is probably one of my favourite texts we have read about this whole entire year and yes I mean it a whole entire year! I have also filled in what I personally think the most important part of the create task the ending sentence which is “Whaea Annie thinks that Party votes are the most important because it decides who runs the whole country!  Mr Rossiter thinks that the electorate vote matters most because it decides the local neighbourhood MP. But both are important because the electorate vote matters because they are representing you neighbour hood the place where you live but party vote matters as well as much equally because that decided who runs your entire country!

Reflection: I would rate this create task a 10/10 if I had to rate it. It Is some thing you have to think about read and understand to complete for example before doing this create task you must thoroughly read page 2 of the text to fully understand what electorate votes and party votes are to be ab;e to compare them! By the way I have blogged my work by copy and pasting it from the document.
