WALT: Contribute to text discussions by building on others ideas and comparing different interpretations
Hello bloggers!
Welcome back to my blog!
Today is the 15th of October 2026 Term 4 Thursday.
Last term before it is 2027, also I am a year 6 so it will be sad.
Anyway today I am doing “Create you own party vote to make school a great place.“
Basically You have to partner up with someone (Mine was Saniya, check her blog after mine) and then To start are own party by brainstorming 3 ideas To make school a better place.
By building on the ideas that you partner said on a poster on a DLO or draw.
Mine was Adobe Express, we also needed a catchy slogan which was Shimmer and shine.
Now before I show you the task let me tell you a bit about the book.
The book we are learning about is “Welcome to the democracy of Aotearoa New Zealand” (page one title).
This is where we learn how to vote. And if every one gets a turn to vote and the majority wins that is democracy.
Democracy also means people power and that was what we were learning about the book, also you can only vote after your 18 and you need at least a single party to win 61 seats all by themselves. Usually political parties have to talk to each other and work togther – Sentance from the book. And much more!
I really enjoyed this task and I would rate it a 8/10
because it was super hard to find a template but had so much fun doing this.
I hope you like it and make sure to leave a thoughtful, helpful and positive comment byee
