In Week 1, we were privileged enough to have a tutu with Beat Station. This is a musical kit that consists of a ukulele, tambourine, drum, shakers etc. It is built to help us develop rhythm and to keep a beat. On the first day, Whaea J asked us to explore the instruments and come up with a beat and song or rap about Fiji Language Week. Evanna’s group showed the rest of the class what’s up by performing, “We’re Gonna Drink Kava”. It was music to our ears.
