Today, we got the opportunity to have some visitors come to our school. They taught us certain values, and how to show teamwork while using a rugby ball. Our learning intention is to show effort and energy towards activites. Our instructors are people that cooperates with the Warriors team; such as Alicia, Katelyn, and 1 more. Altogether they taught us how to show teamwork in a various amount of activities, often using a rugby ball.
Therefore, the group that participated today is the girls, called tupumaia. It was exciting getting to participate in certain activites. One of my favourite activites that I got to participate with was a game called along the lines of “Pass To Tag”, allowing you to attack the opposing team players by passing the ball to each other. The person holding the ball cannot run or move with it (though they can twist or turn). Defenders try to run, intercept, the people trying to tag them. If you get tagged you are out. And there is a timer to decide which team lasts the longest while running from the taggers.
There was many other games and discussions, and I really enjoyed them especially while using teamwork. I am grateful to the Tupu Māia foundation for providing this opportunity. Overall I am looking forward to the next session with them.
