Climate change is one of the biggest problems facing our planet. It is mainly caused by humans releasing greenhouse gases like,”Carbon Dioxide” into the atmosphere. Burning fossil fuels, cutting down trees and pollution all contribute to climate change. This causes rising temperatures, melting ice caps, rising sea levels and extreme weather. We can help by recycling, saving electricity, using less plastic and planting trees. Climate change is a serious issue, and we all need to make better choices to protect our planet for future generations.

Why do students throughout aotearoa, new Zealand and globally want to go on strike?  Some students use it as an opportunity to take a day off school, but others want to do it to protect our and their environment from climate change. Strikes and protests draw attention throughout the social media platforms spreading the reason for a strike. In my personal opinion, I feel that strike is a good idea to get people to realise the danger that climate change can bring towards our everyday lives and the nature around us.
