On Monday morning, the Rangi team (Year 6s) went on an exciting trip to Rotoroa Island. Everyone was filled with excitement as we got ready for our adventure. We were looking forward to exploring the island, spending time with our friends and discovering new things. As we travelled towards the island, I wondered what exciting activities and surprises were waiting for us.
When we finally arrived, we were surrounded by beautiful scenery, fresh sea air and the sound of birds singing in the trees. The island looked peaceful and full of life. We were split into groups of six, with an adult looking after each group to guide us throughout the day. This made it easier for everyone to stay together and enjoy the different activities.
As we explored the island, we got to experience its natural beauty and learn more about the place. There were beautiful trees, sandy beaches and amazing views of the ocean. I could hear the waves gently crashing against the shore and the birds chirping in the distance. The salty sea breeze filled the air, while the warm sunlight made the day even more enjoyable.
One of the most exciting moments of the day was when a couple of Year 6 students decided to go swimming at Ladies Bay. The water looked refreshing, and they happily made their way into the sea. Their excitement and laughter filled the air as they splashed around and enjoyed the cool water. Meanwhile, the rest of us watched and enjoyed the beautiful beach scenery. It was definitely one of the funniest and most memorable moments of our trip!
One of the best parts of the trip was getting to explore with my friends. It was exciting discovering new things, sharing laughs and enjoying the adventure together. Everywhere we went, there was something interesting to see or learn about.
Overall, visiting Rotoroa Island was an amazing experience that I won’t forget anytime soon. It was a great opportunity to explore somewhere new, learn about nature and spend quality time with my friends. Even though the day went by quickly, it was definitely an adventure worth remembering.
