in stem i built a building to with stand a earth quake in minecraft. it has everything food medic beds water. and pillers so the building doesn’t break so easily. it would be very safe it was in real life.

Yesterday I had an in-school Korfball Tournament. Korfball is a mix of basketball and netball with a few different rules. We played in our schools covered courts and played against schools from around Greymouth and South Westland. We lost our first 2 games but then we came back and won our next 3 and got 4th or 5th out of around 10 teams. It was a fun day and what made it even better was that I didn’t have to do any schoolwork for the day.

Inkheart was fun to watch. We had to read the the subtitles and do activities based on what we read. 

I’m A Pebble  – diary entry from otter

Im Otter I had a family and we were happy but my family drowned and they turned into pebbles and I was otter still and I was depressed because I could not be with them and I slept with them and I was very sad so I committed suicide and  jumped into the water and drowned myself and I became pebble and was with my pebble family and the were actually still alive but they were pebble otters and when we curled up they became rock and they had a baby and it was otter and it ran around and the came back and turned into otter pebble with its family.

this week i got sick. then came back on wednesday. and then on thursday i did dtect last period and rebuilt my building for an erth quake not that much. :l

Hello Everyone!

For the last few months, I have been reading the Wings Of Fire series. it is a much longer and more complicated series than Wolf Girl or other series I have read. each book is around 300 pages and there are 15 main books,not including the graphic novels, spinoffs and prequels. the wolf  girl books have larger lettering thus having less words on each page. as well as having pictures on most pages. The Wings Of Fire does not have any pictures, Here is a comparison:

the story is set on the dragon continent Pyrria in the middle of a war between the dead sandwing queens three sister burn, blister and blaze.

there are a lot of complicated themes such as war, racism and genocide. there is a lot of extreme and brutal deaths. i will not go into detail but i might do an in depth review. this book is not for everyone but if you have at least a reading level of around 13 yrs or older and you are okay with those themes I recommend Thanks for reading!

“The big bad blackout” by Megan McDonald

hurricane elmer is coming to town . whoooo! Along with massive rain and strong winds,Elmer  thows down ghosts, squirrels and aliens spooky!  just when things couldn’t possibly get any freakier-flicker flicker gulp- the lights go O-U-T out. the moodys are hunkered down in the middle of a big bad blackout!

In social  Studies we have been using this app call Banqer it is a app that you learn how to look after your self in the future and like you can do jobs so you can earn more money. Also our teacher gives us allowance every Tuesday.

I have been reading a book called dog tucker it is about a orphan who hates horses he then goes to his uncles house that he hasn’t seen in a while he then learns how to ride a horse and thats all bye

WITH HER THEN IN CLASS HER OWNER HALF OF HER SKIN ON HER SKULL GONE NEARLY. SKINNED RIPPED OF HER NECK. CAN NEARLY SEE THE ORGANS. AND AND EVERYTHING ELSE RUIN. HER FINALLY WORDS IN THE STORY WHERE. This week we have been doing take a movie to the directory but every time we do it barely anyone is here so the teacher as to change the groups so it even. The movie is called ink heart  , we have gotten up to a part where there was a massive tornado that sweep people off there feet. There was cars that was getting lifted every right and left. There was people trapped in places and no one took there time to help them they were all worried about them selfs. They just want to save themselves.

in fun film friday there was this bookmark that flown out of the book.  the bookmark came alive. started walking and r]rip the sides for arms

the book that was next to the bookmark turned into the sea while the pages where waves. it took many attempts but eventually. then a massive wave came in the bookmark noticed and started surfing. then it happened the book mark started surfing. it got to the end then the whole book was finished. the book mark was surprised. until it took a look at the whole library.

This is my dress. I have needed a lot of help from Sophie, Mrs Reeves and Esther throughout the making of this dress. I have learned so much about clothes and designs and how to sew. I loved textiles this term and I’m so happy that I was able to make this dress. My dress is made perfect, it is irreversible. I have used 2 colorful fabrics and different coloured patterns for the pockets. There is a pic below of the final product. I am very thankful that Mrs Reeves helped by sewing most of my dress together. 

today i read a book called planes in this book there’s a guy called roger and he fly’s planes. Roger is a middle aged man 5.6 feet tall.One day his plane broke down and landed in the middle of the jungle while going for a fly. he didn’t know what to do. his radar was broken he had no signal all he had to do was to stay and wait for rescue. the rescue team came and he got out safe. That was the end.

  I have now finished  this terms project,  of making a pair of shorts for dress a girl/boy

It was an honor to make shorts for someone else to wear.  It was so much fun making a pair of shorts for dress a girl.  I hope that the person that receives them uses them to their fullest potential.

This term in textile we have been making dresses for Dress A Girl Around The World!   I have just finished my reversible A-line dress. It has been an eight week process, from making a sampler to researching and creating a dress. Here is my finished product!

The  colours are a bit odd but I was working with limited options. Here are some photos of the process.
