We were learning about writing persuasive emails with Whaea Ocea.

We also learnt about our digital footprint – this is all about what we post online and how it stays online so

we need to make sure it is positive.

We were writing emails to our Principal and Deputy Principal to persuade them to get swings.  Mr Crowe hasn’t responded yet, but I am looking forward to it.

I found this lesson hard because of all the different steps we needed to do.

I think our school needs more playground equipment for kids to play on like swings. It’s important that we have fun on our breaks and swings are so fun!

If we have fun on our breaks then we can do better learning after.

In maths today we learnt how to measure the perimeter and area of our school buildings on Google maps.

It was fun to use the ruler.

In cybersmart as well as maths with Whaea Ocea, we learnt about the perimeter and area. The perimeter is basically the measurement of the outline of the shape and the area is the measurement of the inside of the shape. We also learnt how to use google earth so we could measure different spaces at Wesley Primary School and screen record us explaining what we did.

Today we did a cybersmart and math lesson about Perimeter and the area of spaces in the Wesley community on Google Earth. I measured the Lovelock track, next I measured the Wesley field and lastly I measured the Wesley court.

We are going to measure it in real life to see how accurate Google Earth is.

Lonely space 

One dark night I was on my bed laying there looking at the moon but something felt off so I got up and went outside. It was cold but that did not matter so I sat down on the grass and closed my eyes and felt like I was floating. I opened my eyes and saw below glowing light when I was in space I saw earth and it looked so small but itt was cool as i drifted past saturn slowly but also i missed my family and friend even though I was there for like six hours  but six hours  felt like a thousand years        

Above The Sky

Milky ways below it there’s a Satellite. I don’t know how I got there.

Down below me lives a planet called Earth. It’s a place where there’s organic life. I feel lonely, sad, and sometimes worried. The fluffy clouds fill the skies.Looking like cotton candy.

Every morning and afternoon I notice a flaming bright fiery ball.This ball orbits around Earth giving Earth eternal light and day. Sometimes I wonder how does this ball form? What Is it called?. In the afternoon there’s always these vibrant colors making a beautiful sky. I wonder how those colors form. I love the vibrant colors that show up in the sky making a beautiful sunset.

I live in complete silence with a deep darkness infinity. Stars twinkle like gems in the sky. Nothing makes noise except my bleeping. I dazzle around Earth going where Earth east is. There are other satellites like me somewhere in the darkness. Above me glows in the distance a moon.. I realise the fiery ball creeps on the side of Earth. This time it shows up with dark spots.

Being a silent satellite isn’t really fun but I really love the colors when the sun appears.

The satellites beginning

Wow! Look at that satellite! It’s smaller than I thought it’ll be. ’’Yeah! It is’’ said my friend . Do you want to know more about satellites’’yes!’’

The sputnik 1 was the first satellite to be launched in history.It was launched in the year 1957 on 4th october,and the soviet union had launched it.It was 84 kg’s and it looked like a metal beach ball with whiskers.

2. sputnik 2.
The sputnik 2 was 8 times larger than sputnik 1 and there was a dog named Laika in the satellite,and yet this satellite was successfully in the orbit.

The race was going on but Russia had already sent 2 satellites in the orbit and the U.S.A had failed after fail though they had the Germans helping them but they sent a satellite that lasted 1m and another one that lasted 5km called Vanguard 1. So, this made them embarrassed. But then the Soviet Union (Russia) had sent Sputnik 3 which weighs 1.5 tonnes! But suddenly in 1960, the U.S.A had sent 20 satellites!

4.The first people on the moon.

In 1969 10th July Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon and with the help of satellites they have pictures of them being on the moon.

5.Today.

Today there are around 3000 satellites in orbit and the satellites give us info about space and they warn us about war and natural disasters. Satellites also give us internet which is very useful and as the years pass the number of satellites will go up and up.

The Satellite

Did you know there was a satellite race between countries to send the first satellite to orbit our planet Earth.

In 1957 October the 4th Russia was the first country to send the very first satellite to space called “Sputnik 1” and it started orbiting Earth.

Did you know that the first living thing to land in space was a brave dog named Laika, The journey was fine until she died, lasting only eight days in space.

On this day there are around three thousand satellites orbiting our planet Earth. The first people to land on the moon were two brave men named Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969.

Satellites changed the world because they helped us make communication much easier and they sent warnings to keep us safe, without satellites it would be hard to see each other again.

 The German scientist went with the Americans to build a satellite to build a satellite and be the first to send it  instead of the Russian because they were having a race.

Did you know that there  are about 3 thousand satellites orbiting earth.Satellites do alot for us like give us signals,tell us the news,tell us the weather and alot more.

On July 20th 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aidrin stepped on the moon.Their footprints are probably still there because  it doesn’t  rain or is windy in space.

Satellites help in our daily life like telling us when will earthquakes and emergency warning to tell us what’ going to happen

Bleep! Bleep! Bleep! Everyone in the neighborhood surrounds the radio.They are filled with excitement.Poof! The first ever  Satellite has taken off.

Did you know that on the first ever  satellite was made by union soviet which is the Russian people. On october the 4th 1957 USSR were the first country to launch their satellite. It was successful and they won. After Russia blasted off it was Germany’s turn.

It was chaotic and very fascinating.The satellites have to be at least 26,000 metres away to escape earths gravity. Did you know that the first animal to ride on a Satellite was a dog named Laika.

Did you know that the spukniks third weighing almost 1.5 tones and it orbited Earth for two long years. Did you know the first people to land on the moon was Neil Armstrong and Buzz Almtrom.They went to get rocks from the moon to see how much the moon weighs.

Satellites were invented and built to give us wifi and to make cellphone calls.Satellites changed the world and made life.

This is my timeline showing how Deaf Education has changed in New Zealand over time.

“Welcome” said the shopkeeper “hello” I replied while I was walking around I saw a rusty telescope. It looked like a survivor from World War 2. The roof was glass where the telescope was. I walked up anciently and scared a bit but once I looked in the telescope I got shocked and teleport on Saturn (parearau) I fort I pass away because I was in space but I could breathe in space I on Saturn and I saw the ring they are made of ice ,debris ,and chunks of meteor. I felt the rings and I could fly on it once I got off the rings I got shocked again but this  time I was on mars . (matawhero) the plant had a red dull colour and it was dusty a bit as I walk around Mars had crater just like the moon but red and a plant once I got to the outer side I found the same telescope I was very exhausted so I walk up to it and I want back home and slept.

In my opinion, I think schools should not allow children to bring sugary drinks to school and I will show you my reasons why.

(REASON 1) It is a hazard for kids as it may cause other health problems.

(REASON 2) When kids drink sugary drinks or soda you may call it, it might cause headaches and moodiness and it impacts the brain functioning of the child.

(REASON 3) Sweet drinks can cause a range of problems including: excess weight gain. tooth erosion and decay. A small appetite, also it is not allowed at school.

Conclusion=The school cares about your health and you should be responsible for it as well so please stay safe.

As I entered I saw a lot of kids like me, I saw teachers and I saw some coffins. I got scared. Up there I saw a sign saying that whoever doesn’t learn their powers correctly they die. I saw some pets that had superpowers just like me. I had powers like Invisibility ,Teleportation ,Flying ,Laser eyes ,Frost control, Flame control, And Transforming I was shocked after knowing i had that so many powers the teachers took me to my first class the subject was cordination the class was magical i carefully learned everything. I had the powers for a lifetime. I never want to go there again because there is chances of dying

I went to school and it was dark black. I hear crying from the hallway. I smelt  blood and I felt scared. When I woke up it was all a dream. And then I walk to school and we learn about math. And I want DJ to listen.

The Hollow Doors

I appear in front of dozens of doors. There’s a red door, a yellow door and other kinds of doors. I slowly opened the red door, it creaked open. In front of me is a swirl; it almost looks like a portal. I touched it and BOOM! Everything goes black. I woke up and in front of me was a long, eerie street. When I looked back for the door it disappeared. I stood up and walked straight. This street looks like it never stops. As I’m walking I hear a noise coming from ahead of me. I sprinted until I saw light. I’m at this mysterious house that looks old and haunted. There was some shattered glass on the ground. Something in my chest just urges me to go through that door.. I turn the door knob. It’s so rusty but somehow it opens smoothly. I walk through the hallway and the door slams from behind. At the end of the hallway haunts a doll. It’s in a cage. It has bright velvet hair,red lips and a stitched up dress. Her name is Annabelle. She gives me goose bumps. Her smile is already creepy enough. Her name is even creepier. She just stares into my soul. It’s scary. Din! Dong! The door bell rang and someone constantly rang it. It was ringing As I turned around something tall was hovering over me.

I woke up and I spawned in a garden. I saw the sky, it was shiny and bright . I can smell fruits like dragon fruit. I looked over and I went to pick up a dragon fruit. I was about to eat it but then I saw a guy who looked really goofy, like he hasn’t eaten in days. I asked him if he wanted my dragon fruit. He looked exhausted. He had 5 bucks. I glanced over and saw it. I asked him if he wanted to buy my dragon fruits and he looked depressed and he gave the money to me. I saw him excitedly eating the dragon fruit. He looked tired and I was exhausted from the whole day. So I went to a shop where they had mango seeds. I bought one and I planted it in my garden. I planted it and I poured water. It grew larger and larger like a bush then I went to sleep.The next day my mango tree got bigger and bigger by the minute. I went for a run around my garden and I went back to the seed shop. I saw this looking ugly seed. I bought it then I went to my garden. I got sprinklers and I planted the seed. It was big. He was a BEANSTALK!!!. I shouted in happiness that the beanstalk was higher than the clouds. I climbed the ginormous beanstalk. I finally made it to the top. I looked down in fear so i climbed  back down and i was tired so i went to sleep.THE END

As soon as I opened the door I knew it was going to be the best day ever. I looked around and saw clear sparkling crystals that lit up the cave. But then I heard a faint sound so I followed it and the sound got louder and louder as I walked forward I heard a loud water fall. Then I saw a little hole against the wall so I crawled in the hole and I couldn’t believe my eyes I saw a giant sparkling water fall . The waterfall was pouring in a pool so I couldn’t help myself so I jumped in and the water was cool and refreshing. I looked under water and I saw bright tropical fish. I got out of the pool to have some lunch, for lunch I had juicy mango and bright purple grapes. I found myself a towel and saw the door so I went back home. And I will never forget how the waterfall made me feel.

I was walking to the stadium as I opened the door I was fell down I  could only see blackness. When I landed there were three doors one was red the other one was blue and the last one was black. I didn’t know what to do so I opened the black door and I walked into it  and  suddenly  the door vanished. And I started hearing stuff it was a mystery. I never heard it in my life. And then I heard a car engine and the hole room turned bright it was like a golden car. I started thinking I was hallucinating  and i was gone. I realized  it was a car city there were flying cars cars with so many reinforcements and their were also bikes and this beautiful bike and car and those people told me it was mine the car had 366 horse power so did the bike the car was black with white stripes and the bike had stripes with flames. It was the best day ever!.

                               The Luxury Cabana

“Aaahh!!! Someone help me” I shouted and I ran so fast because some one was chasing me with a really sharp knife, I ran into a dead end and then I was pushed, and I fell in the deep blue sea.

I washed up to the shore and saw a creepy looking castle, as I stepped inside I saw three doors in front of me, it gave me chills and I hesitated for a moment before entering something unexpecting.

I saw a luxurious Cabana and saw a lot of food on the table, (It was fancy)  The perfume was giving fresh air and relaxing music was playing.

It was getting dark so I got out of the Cabana and watched the sun sets.

While sitting down on the glimmering sand, in the ocean, I saw many jelly fishes, it was beautiful because they were glowing in the night.

It was getting cold so I went into the Cabana , suddenly a butler showed up and gave me steak and a strawberry smoothie.

I decided to stay there for the rest of my life.
