Bula Vinaka!

In maths, we learned all about the ‘Unit of Repeat’—the specific combination of shapes or lines that repeats over and over again to create a complete pattern.
Here is how we put our learning into action:
- Explore: We looked closely at Fijian masi patterns and identified the geometric shapes hiding inside them.
- Design: Using whiteboard markers and mini whiteboards, we selected our own “unit of repeat” (for example: triangle, diamond, stripe).
- Repeat: Working carefully, we repeated our unit to build our masi inspired designs.
Using whiteboards allowed us to experiment freely, test out different repeating sequences, and make adjustments as we refined our mathematical patterns!

Vinaka vakalevu to our wonderful students for their focus, creativity, and mathematical thinking this week!

Today me and my class have been learning about all the different types of media. Did you know that magazines are a type of media and so is the newspaper. We also did a drag and drop activity and we sorted what we have created and what we have encountered. bye from Lily H

This is my Taniwha Design, It is quite inaccurate because of How it looks like. Taniwha is about is a Large supernatural creature that lives in a deep water, deep caves, or places with dangerous things. For My Taniwha i choose tuhirangi, Tuhirangi is a Legendary guardian (who is a water spirit or creature) from Maori tradition. It could do things like protecting the ocean and the people, Remove the rubbish in the ocean, and Its Message of it was To protect it from Harmful things that could ruin or Make the ocean hazardous.
