Today we did hand writing. The letter this week was ‘M’. I did it in cursive, I don’t think they look like ‘m’s’ but it is how we where taught. The quote is from Dalai Lama.

Over the last couple of weeks, Nevaeh has enjoyed many exciting learning opportunities and experiences.

A special highlight was a visit to Marilyn’s house, where Nevaeh had the chance to play on a real piano with Marilyn. She walked in confidently like she owned the place and knew exactly what she was there to do. It was wonderful to see her curiosity and confidence shine as she explored the piano and enjoyed making music.

Nevaeh was also very lucky to receive a beautiful new pair of sparkly slippers from Jackie and her daughter. Nevaeh absolutely loved them and could not stop looking at them, especially when they sparkled in the sunlight.

Imaginative play continues to be a big interest for Nevaeh. She has been spending lots of time caring for her doll and using the crib setup, and this week she also started showing interest in pushing the baby pram around. Looking ahead, we are planning to create a mock bedroom setup in the sensory space to help extend this imaginative play even further. This may include activities such as opening and closing curtains for baby at bedtime, turning the lights off, and playing soft lullabies to create a calming bedtime routine experience.

Nevaeh has also been enjoying sensory learning activities, including colour matching and counting games. Some of these resources were brought back by Amy from a recent visit to the Vision Resource Library in Christchurch. We are hoping to visit again a couple more times this year, as the library has an extensive range of learning materials and resources covering almost every topic and area of development imaginable.

Nevaeh continues to grow in confidence, curiosity, and imaginative play through these experiences.

We have been learning about Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the plant life cycle in this order 1 Seed 2 Germination 3 Seedling 4 Adult plant 5 Pollination 6 Decomposition.

kia ora this week we have been learning about plant life circle in our reading groups.We describe the different stages. First a plant starts in a seed and then is planted in the soil. Then a little hole that’s were the roots come out of then stuck up the water. Then it is a seedling then a adult plant then the plant go’s slowly dead. Then the worms come and eat the dead plants so all the nutrients go into the soil. So the new plant can get the food its need.My favourite parts was making the grass heads and I made a Hedgehog. First we put the grass seeds at the bottom of the old sock then the soil then we shape it I shaped mine to a hedgehog named Berry. have you made a plant? bye bye.

We have been learning about plants.How they make their own food called glucose.But for plants to survive they need water, carbon dioxide,sunlight,space and soil.The process is called photosythesis.The next stage is germination.Germination  is when the seed gets the right amount of water and wake up.The next one process is seedling.The seedlingis when they grow their first ever leaves.We done a science project,we done grass heads as the project that was my favourite part.Have you ever made a grass head before?

This week we have been learning about photosynthesis. You might be wondering what is photosynthesis.Well photosynthesis is when plants make their own food.There is 5 things what plants need it is sunlight,water,carbon dioxide,soil (nutrients) and space.There is a life cycle from seed to germination,seedling,adult plant, pollination,decomposition.These are the main five things what plants need.One day Miss cabral said let’s make grass heads.But first we watched a video next we got socks and put grass seed after that next we put dirt lastly names and eyes.

We also made grass heads. When we made grass heads. We got a sock thingie and we put grass seeds and then we put a layer of soil. then we tied up the end And decorated them I made a cow. We have been learning about a plant life Cycle. In our reading groups we have been learning about photosynthesis and a plant life has 6 stages Seed, Germination, Seedling, Adult plant, Pollination and lastly Decomposition. And we have been making grass heads as well first we had to watch a video on the TV and then got a sock and put grass seeds in the sock. Secondly we went and put soil in the sock on the court. After we put in the soil we made the nose and eyes and mouth then we hot glued on the mouth and eyes but we make the nose from the sock.

My favourite part was putting in the soil for the plant and my grass head was called kiwi.

Hello,

This week we went to Cass Square for a soccer tournament.  There was lots of other teams from other schools there, we done really well and won most of are games. My favourite part of the day was not going to school and having fun with my friends. I  went in Miss Langs car with Dakota, Emma and Preston.The challenging part was getting the ball off the other team.

Kia Ora on Tuesday most of  my class left to play soccer at cass square and well they were away I had to do some work on my factors for an example question is 30        1 23 5       61015 30   are the factors

of 30  so we did a work sheet from 21 to 40  after that we did steps web and typing club and burger planing.

Kia ora,This week on Tuesday to Cass square to play at a one day soccer festival where we faced the other schools teams each game was about 7 mins.I really enjoyed the soccer festival I had fun versing the other teams, we won a couple and tied with a few.There were two Kaniere teams Kaniere Keas and Kaniere Kiwis at the soccer festival we also got to play on the playground for 10 minutes it was fun when it wasn’t our time to play a game we would be practicing or playing.This is and image of us versing one of the Paroa teams.

My name is preston and I went to soccer on tuesday. My favourite part about soccer was when we versed hokitika primary school.

It was my favourite because it was the hardest game out of all of the games we played. We played hoki primary school twice and lost to them once and bet them again the next time we versed them.
