Terrific Text Features

Hi this week in reading we were learning about text features. Our learning goal was to identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about and identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important and to try to acheive summarizing as readers . First read a book about Elon Musk and it was very inspiring  as we were reading the book we were looking at the different types of text features and learned about them. Then we had to go off and make a poster and show what we have learn’t specifically different types of text features and what they mean. My Poster is below. Comment down below a Text feature and what is means or helps the reader do.

Ode to joy

Kia ora bloggers

Today I had to play a beautiful song composed by Beethoven.

I used this special app and had to play the Ode to Joy song on a violin. You had to move your mouse from side to side which was a bit tiring. I think I did ok with it some bits were played too slow or fast, but I think I did well for the first time. Being a musical instrument player I knew a lot about Beethoven. ( I play piano) Here are some facts. For the last decade of his life, Beethoven was almost deaf and could not hear his music. Beethoven was inspired and looked up to Mozart, but sadly never met him. Beethoven died at the age of  56 around 1770- 1827.  Beethoven’s final words were thought to be applaud friends, the comedy ended in Latin but was actually pity pity to late. Beethoven was unlucky in love and never married so he had no children.

Thanks Sophia

Super Summer Shadow Art SLJ

Summer Learning Journey, Shadow Art.

Hello,

I have just completed todays kick starter for the Summer Learning Joureny, Shadow Art!

I did mine of some christmas lillies. The easiest part was getting all of my supplies out and ready. The hardest part was trying to get the lillies to stay still in the wind. It was really fun and easy to make, my favorite part was getting to see my finished product at the end. Have you ever made Shadow Art?

My art is down below.

Bug of the Year🪲

Good afternoon bloggers.

Today I was creating my own profile on my own selection of a bug. I choose….. A Hercules Beetle. I had to write down their name, habitat, diet, and all that stuff. What I felt was the most fun was I actually learned about them in school, so I knew most of their lifecycle.  Next time I think I could use scientific words to describe an animal. What bug is your favorite?

Enjoy

I had a fun time playing it with my family and it was so cool, that I could make my own with its own additional questions. I made them quite easier and then harder and harder as you got up and up. I put a slideshow down so you can play with your family or friends. Have you played Snakes and Ladders before?

My Underwater robot

Kia ora everyone

Today I had to create my own underwater robot that could do good to the sea. I got a template explaining what I had to do. Then I created my own feature, which included, an underwater camera, camouflage, and colossal storage. I then wrote about it and what I was good for. I think this was really fun and interesting to learn and create about. What do you think I could add to make this better?
