This week in room nine we have been looking at a text called four of a kind and we have done a character analysis on five of the characters from the text.

Term 3 is almost over! What a fun term it has been! We’ve done so many cool things! My favourite activity we did was P.E, exercise and writing! FREE writing! Oh, and definitely athletics! It was great! We had a field trip to the theatre in a VERY fancy first class bus and saw the little mermaid, an orchestra came to our school and we had LUNCH! The best thing EVER!

The choir people went to  some places, I never showed up to ANY cause

1.   I didn’t want to.

2.   My mum pulled me out

The people who didn’t go to the choir got to stay with room 1 people.  (But some of them do choir, too.) A relief teacher came here and we did some engineering with marshmallows and dried pasta sticks. Me and Honor made the Paris tower with marshmallows, dried pasta and a bit of imagination! We even got to eat a marshmallow after!

This has probably been one of the best terms ever! My class and me had lots and lots of adventures! Plus, we got free bread! Though I didn’t take any cause I already have lots of bread at home! (Well when I think about it, maybe I SHOULD have taken the bread …) But who cares, I still thanked the bread people with a card!

In Room 1 today we did a thing including cyber-smart where we had to make a commercial for our products here is mine hope you enjoy!

This week our cybersmart was about making an invention that didn’t already exist. For my invention I made  a machine with a screen (machine and screen rhyme) where you could choose an animal from the screen, click the create button and your animal would be made. I loved this challenge and I would definitely make it again. Here is my advertisement

Today I thought it was going to be a normal day but I was wrong. Before lunch all the seniors went into the hall. ( Year 5-8.) The first thing he did was ask us how many dogs we had. Lots of people have 1 dog. Some people had two dogs. ( like me.) 3 people had 3 dogs. Can you guess how many dogs st Carlo had? He had 4 dogs because he was a dog maniac. ( like me.) He also had 2 cats. ( I have 1.) He died at the age of 15 in 2006 cause of cancer. After that he talked about a thing the shape of a cross called a relic. On one side it had a part of his heart on a different side there was a bit of his hair and then the last one it had a bit of his t-shirt. At the end we got to touch the relic. Are you catholic school?

Yesterday we did a science project about antarctica and the arctic. The science project was that we had to hold fresh ice in are hand and see what would happen. My piece of ice had a air bubble and there was little spikes in it. I thought it was really fun even though my hands went red at the end it was worth it

This week for our cybersmart challenge we had to make a new invention. I made a Subair car. A Subair car is a car that can go almost anywhere. It can go on the road,  space, the sky and under the ocean. If you could make an invention that hasn’t  been made yet what would it be?

This week we have been learning about The bird of the year competition by Forest & Bird. This year’s winner was the Black Robin/Karure. For our Create we had to make a slideshow about a bird of our choice. For my Bird I chose the Takahe. Here is my presentation.

I think that the Kākāpō  can win bird of the year 2027 because  they are beautiful and native to NZ .

won in 2026 it is a very cute bird .

Today for our Cybersmart challenge we had to make an invention to solve an everyday problem. I made a Flappy Happy Fidget that makes you happy when you’re stressed angry or sad.

I think I did well in making it interesting but I think I could  add more information in a smaller video next time.

Hey there we did bird of the year and I made a cool slide about my bird ( at the end )

Hello! Hope the muffin man didn´t come to your house since the last time I updated my blog. Anyways, this week we have been learning about the bird of the year. We did lots of reserch on bird and had lots of fun doing it! I have been doing some slides about it, here they are!

This week we have been looking on the site called bird of the year competition.  I chose the kaikorea titis birds because they are endangered and they are really fluffy birds. I loved making the slides for it because it was really fun trying to find pictures of these birds and they were very cute. Here is my slideshow.

Today we have been learning about the NZ native birds we made speeches about them my bird was the yellow head and I hope you like my slides. See you soon guys!

We did engineering it was a fun and… yummy moment! We made a tower out of marshmellow and frozen pasta sticks then after that we ate the marshmellows it was a yummy and good day Yippy!

This week we started a new reading called bird of the year. It was where you got to pick a bird to win a best bird of the year. This year it was the Chatham Island black robin! For the reading we had to chose a bird from the bird of the year website to win in 2027! I chose the fairy tern. Because it is in a lot of danger! Here is my slide show. We have been learning about the bird of the year my bird was  the silvereye plus waxeye and the morio name Touhou i have been so happy about the bird of the year.

Yesterday we made something with Cybersmart I made a room cleaner it is very useful here it is tada.

This week we have been doing bird of the year and learning  about endangered birds this one of them Old blue (Chatham Islands Blue Robin) they are one of the rarest birds in the world this bird I did Morepork Ruru Bird it is an owl.
