My amazing sock puppet

This is Amanda she is my sock puppet

I made her Monday mashup. She is supposed to be cute but when you turn your back to her, she’s cheeky so don’t turn your back to her. She is made of  1 black sock a purple ribbon in her hair brown wool for hair 2 googly eyes and a red wool tong. I love her  so much that I could take her everywhere I love her little fringe it is so cute. I think it was challenging to get the ball in her hair but I still managed to get it in even though it was hard  the easiest part was to glue on her hair. I had a little help with my friend Lacey  on the tongue and the ribbon  but I still managed to do most of it.

have you made a sock puppet before?

Our Monday Mashup Sock Puppets

For Monday mashup I was with Urmi and Urmi was doing sock puppets and I made a sock puppet named Tim Jr.

First we got this paper were we had to plan our sock puppets we had to name our sock puppets then label it and draw it.

Then we got the materials for the sock puppets I got a black sock, some card bored, fabric, and googly eyes and made the sock puppets.

Next I needed  to make my sock inside out then I put the piece of card board at the end of the sock and made It right side out then when we did you made a mouth.

After I glued the blue part to the bottom of the mouth and the  googly eyes and I finished.

My Very Stylish Sock Puppet

This is Patricia. She is my sock puppet. She looks very cute and very evil inside so you better stay away and be careful near her. She likes staring at people for a while to avoid her just don’t look her in the eyes.

To make her you need a sock, string, googly eyes, fabric, glittery paper and your sock needs to have a bad attitude. To make her you need to grab your sock and stuff it, then you need to tie a note at the end of your sock. After you’ve done that fun part arrives you need to pick out the funnest googly eyes, and the craziest whiskers that could sniff you out from anywhere and a bright orange pumpkin two seal it all together.

So do you like her ?

My Mathematics Tessellation

Recently, the group of year 6s have been working on their very own tessellation pattern for math. I decided to use triangles to create the pattern above. It shows a checkered themed pattern with pairs of triangles being deep pink and brown, while the other pairs have a lighter pink and soft beige.

What’s a ‘tessellation’?

A tessellation is a pattern of one or more geometric shapes grouped together, leaving no negative space in between.

Have you ever made a tessellation? If so, what colors or shape(s) did you use?

After I finished adding the shapes, I removed the boarders and colored all the triangles and the background. I decided to use red and white to really make the colors pop! Which colors and shapes would you use?
