Firstly on Monday mashup I made a maze using Google sheets I first started with a black big square and think where to put my start and my end and I put my in end down on the bottom in the middle and did my start at the top in the middle I was thinking on what  I was doing but to decided to make two lines on the side of the start and put theses lines I  the middle so if someone was doing the maze they cant see the other side but I was thinking how to get to the end I thought for a minute I had a genius idea I don’t know how to explain how I did the maze but this is my maze I made.

I made a seal with a tuxedo and a  briefcase like a business man in Google sheets , this was pretty easy because I could think of it in my mind. First I made the little face with a smile then I added the tuxedo and the arms which were a bit harder then the legs and shoes and briefcase. Overall it was not that hard I  found it pretty easy. I had one problem which was getting the photo on  it was hard but I figured it out.

For Monday Mashup I made a flying squirrel．It was difficult to  make the flying squirrel. That’s because I worked hard so that the acorns in my hands, the outlines, and the face, tail, and belly match as closely as possible. I’m happy that they turned out pretty cute. But they don’t look very much like a flying squirrel, so I’m a little disappointed. I want to make them even cuter and learn how to make them better going forward.

This week I have learned about whales and how they are getting extinct. I learned about six mane ways that whales have been getting killed. they are: Illegal whaling, Noise Pollution, boat and and ship strikes, by catch deaths, climate change and marine pollution. My class learned how we can keep whales safe by just doing every day things like not dropping rubbish and not wasting water. I worked on a slideshow about keeping whales safe on Canva. People have been working on keeping whales safe and what we can do to help them. You can help whales to, like by not littering and not wasting water. but there are so many different ways and you just have to find them. Did you know? Japan killed 24,908 whales  from 1985 to 2024.

This week I have learnt a lot about different things in te reo maori. We are learning to write structured sentences. 1 sentence we have learnt is ‘’Kei te horoi i ona rigaringa;; [ The boy is washing his hands] and ‘’ kei te panui  pukapuka raua/te mama, [They are reading] .I did enjoy this because it is so fun`

This week I have learnt about softball in Hakinakina. We went out to play, which was quite fun. I actually play softball. But the first time we went out we played with a soccer ball which was super easy to hit. I hit it super far which felt super good because I haven’t hit a softball in ages. We have a torment at Shirley intermediate but last year they beat us but i wasn’t playing. 
  

This week  I have learnt a lot of different things in te reo maori. We are learning to structure sentences. One sentence we have learnt is kei te horoi i ona ringaringa, ( The boy is washing his hands) and “ Kei te panui pukapuka raua/ te mama,( They are reading). I did not enjoy this because I just kept getting confused. The part I enjoyed is when we had to write the sentence in maori then translating it then moting it.

This week we have been learning how to do integers if you don’t know what integers are like negative numbers and positive numbers.On the number line there is negative 10 right though to negative 1 then positive 10 right though to 1 and 0 in the middle.i find this really had this week because i didn’t know what to do then i started to get the hang of it then when it came to the test guess what i got 46 on the test that the best i every got just kidding i got more then that.i learnt that this is not fun but matua said everything he does is fun it not sometimes it is.one thing i find interesting was that when something like 2.0 and then you have to find it on the number line is we didn’t get that far that why i didn’t get that much on the test.that is what the main thin g we have been learning about.

This week we’ve learnt many different things like how to properly write a descriptive story, more about morphology, Homophones, Fragments and Adverbial phrases and in Pangarau we learnt more about integers too. This term for Tech I’m in cooking, On Thursday we learnt how dough properly rises and how to make a pizza pocket. this week was our tester week so we learnt how to make dough then decided what we want in our pizzas next week so we could be ready for the following week. Once that was all done we then added cheese to our pockets, made our own design shapes then left them in the oven to cook. Once we were finished we took our trays out of the oven then wrote about all the things that went wrong and right in that session. I didn’t really like my pizza I thought the cheese tasted a little weird and my dough did crack so there was cheese coming out which made it a bit messy. Over all I learnt the proper way to make bread and loads more in literacy and Pangarau too.

This week  I learned about The Twits book

In my literacy I was luring a buoy the twits & it was fry fun me & my literacy group the have no winds be cos. The don’t have any wen dose because they don’t want people to tie them & the don’t like kids so mach.

In literacy we have been learning about novel study’s and were doing a Twits novel study. We had set of slides that we had to do, they had anticipation guides, QAR questions, and create tasks. Here is my create.

I used a Google draw to create the Twits property. I think it was really fun creating the Google draw. Have you ever red the Twits?

For maths we used Banqer to help us learn about saving money and how money works.

: basic income . Income is the money you earn from different places but it’s most often earned through work.

In Banqer the basic Income lets you earn money each week for things like completing your school work and participating in class.

I like to think of  Basic Income as class pocket money.

My teacher would decide on how much Banqer money I get each Friday.

:Charity. Charity is an organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in need.

in my literacy we did a twits novel study i did some Questions some people helped me.

Lately for Maths we have been using Banqer.

Banqer is a website were we can learn about money, budgeting, debt and jobs at the moment I have 540  dollars other people have 600-400 so i’m doing pretty good

We have to get jobs, answer questions and do our homework.

Today we have been learning about debt and overdraft debt is where you have borrowed money from the bank and have to pay it back with a thing called interest.

Interest is when the bank start charging you more money the longer you wait to pay it off.

Overdraft is if you were trying to pay bills but you cant you would have to use overdraft to pay it but they make you pay a bunch of interest so only use it in emergency.

In Banqer its really good to get a job if you can because it can pay you some money that you can use to pay bills you get paid every month  but to get a job you have to have a good CV.

A CV is where you write a bunch of stuff why you think you would be good for the job.

Expenses are stuff you pay for like power, water and food so you have to pay for them too.

Basic income is money for doing your job and putting that in your savings so you can save up for stuff like a car or a house.

I’m really liking Banqer because it helps me learn about money and I really like that.
