This week we have been learning about……

This week we have been learning more and more but the one thing that was outstanding for me was on Wednesday we had C.R.T  and we were doing drama things first. We were doing a drama activity. First she told us how to do it then we started to do it so there were words that we had to listen to like walk when she said that then we walk then the other word was stop then we stop walk.then when we were doing that for a little bit then she changed the word around so stop is walk and walk is stop then when we did that for a little bit again then we added more words like name when she said that you say your name.then we added more but I don’t want to say them all so I’m stopping there .next we started making friendship bracelet mine was a little small and I could’t fit it but it fine a gave it to my sister.Next block we did Kahoot with everyone then the next block we did colouring then some of us did dodge ball. My favourite thing we did was dodge ball but my favourite thing was making the friendship bracelet.one thing i did not enjoy was that we didn’t get to go with are last teacher because there was only 3 teachers the one was sick.that was the one thing that I enjoy this week

This week I learned about what it would be like 100 years in the future. We wrote like dinosaurs would come back because some animals have the same DNA, also that there will be flying cars, 

And there will be hoverboards. Hoverboards are like skateboards but with no wheels and they fly.

The thing I did not like about it was when we had to write like heaps of things that we had in 2026 then write things that would be in a 100 years in the future. But the thing I enjoyed about it was when we watched a trailer of back to the future that was 20 minutes long.

This week we were doing percentages and we were changing shapes and this is what I made.

Today in Maths we went on Google draw and was experemining shapes and changing the height and width pecenterges. I enjoyed this activity as I have never really done anything like this before. here is some of my shapes I made.

Today for mathematics, we had a play around with Percentages and how they can change shapes in Google Draw!

The one above is with 1000 width and 1000 height, while the one below has the original shape!

Today we where playing around with shapes and changing the percentages ratio of the shape here are some of my shapes.

This week for maths we have been learning about percentages, decimals and fractions. Today, we went to Google draw, added a shape and used the format options to make the shape different ratios. I made my shape super longs and at one point I couldn’t find the end of it! have you ever learnt about percentages?

            The Tree Hut Adventure

  Hi my name is Ryder and my friends names are 

Jacob, Toby and Dave. And today we’re going to Toby’s Skateboard Party. Jacob and Dave are going to be at my house at 2:30pm. 

I am really excited for the party. Anyways Jacob arrived at my house and Dave is running late. 

FINALLY! Me and Jacob screamed. Dave came at 

3:27pm. We are now at the party. It’s Giant! Jacob yelled, “Yeah it’s crazy Right?” I replied. “Wait a minute.” “What is it Ryder?” I see… TOBY!!! Me, Jacob and Dave screamed. “I was looking everywhere for you guys,” Toby said. “There’s something shining there,” Jacob said. “Oh yeah I see it” Dave replied. 

“It… it um uhh it looks like a portal” Toby said.

“A PORTAL?!?”! Dave said. Jacob looks really shocked. 

“Should we go in?” Toby asked. “I don’t know,” I replied. “First let’s go a bit closer,” Jacob said.

“Dave should we?” I asked. “Wow it’s shining like a 

Blue diamond”. Jacob said “Imagine it’s neon?” Toby said. “Lets vote” Dave said “Okay” I replied. Dave said “Yes” I said “Yes too.” Toby said “Yes too” and Jacob said “No”. But it was 1 – 3 so we’re going in. “Huh” “Jacob… Toby… Dave…” they’re gone. Uh oh “What am I gonna do?” “Dave Ryder” I heard. So I went there and it’s Jacob. And then I found out we’re all on different spots. When we’re finally all back together Jacob pointed to something so we all looked. “Wow” Dave Said 

There are ladders, ferry lights, about 4 little huts and a Giant Big tree. “Let’s climb the ladders to the hut.” Dave said. “I don’t think it’s safe, especially on my birthday.” Toby said scared. “Let’s just go in.” Jacob replied. “Yeah” I replied. “LET’S CLIMB” Dave screamed. “Why are the lights on”? Toby said.

“Wait… why even are there lights”? Jacob replied.

All of a sudden Dave was knocking on the door. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” I screamed. “Just knocking.” Dave replied. And then an old lady opened the door. “Hi little creeps.” The old lady replied. 

She looks about 98 years old. And has a creepy voice. She wears an old looking dress. And has a witch hat. “Is she a witch?” Jacob whispered. 

“You’re not supposed to be here.” The witch said.

Holding a bottle with something like green nuclear gas. “Let’s run away” Toby said, extra scared. “RUN,” Dave screamed. “JUMP” I screamed again. 

“Me gonna…” the witch said. “DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT.” Jacob replied. “AHHH” the witch screamed… “um she disappeared.” I said. “Let’s get out of here” “Yeah” I replied. “I see the portal” “YAY!” 

“Cake time!” Toby’s mum said. “Yay,” Jacob screamed. “Oh there you are sweet heart.” 

Toby’s mum said again. 

Back at home. It was fun and sad we missed out on the games. But at least we had a cool adventure.

Today I learned about how to make a quality blog comment  I found making sure my comment was deitailed tricky becouse I really had to think about my comment. I yose a google slide to improve my work. I  had a lot of fun doing the activaties Eugein set up for us. have you ever written a quality blog post? what did you write?

This is my cat shelter it is based off of my cat and my friends cat my cat is the gray one. For this project I used Google Sheets and it was quite challenging to make the cats I also enjoyed doing making the project.

This is my dead rat burger. the burger has a bun at the bottom it is mouldy then the cheese is mouldy then there is mouldy pickles then there is a dead rat with a bun by its face with some strawberry jam dropping on it  then there is mouldy oranges and apples ,then the mouldy bun. There are some flies . Do you reckon this is gross for me I do?? How do you can got dead in there?

Do you want to know? The rat came along and jumped in it want it to eat the strawberry jam in the strawberry jam got him stuck in there it is I is green because his eye has been sit in there for days the Flies have been sitting there but they waiting for him to come out sum have even died because how much days it’s been. The rat was starting two mould because of the pickles and cheese and oranges and apple ,and the bun. This was before he died. The  rat came along and saw the burger he was so interested of the pickles so he jumped in. He was so hungry because after he eats for from a second he is STARVING!!!!!! The end

In Monday mashup I made a burger and the burger is mouldy and it’s got cheese on it on the top so the rats came to try eat the cheese but the fly into that going onto the rats nose and then the rat got distracted so he started playing the fly but then he realised this cheese on the top so then he went to go eat the cheese but then the fly was done so he tried shaking the flow but then that just attracted for more of them and so he got really annoyed and she tried climbing up the burger to eat the cheese but then he didn’t end up getting the cheese. the burger has a mouldy burger bun at the bottom Nutella spread over the top of the Maori bun and the tower Nutella is a bit old it’s 85 years old so it turned into like a block of chocolate and then there is crunchy old cheese and on top of the old crunchy cheese pickles we soggy pickles the most sweetest strawberry sauce and so sweet couldn’t get its hands off of it and stuck to his fingers. The pickles were all mouldy because they were in wheat water for years and then the juice from the pickles spread across everything making it all crunchy and dry after all of the water came out of it and it made all the bread mouldy but the rat didn’t care about that he just decided here to eat it no matter what because he was pretty hungry after he hadn’t eaten in 17 minutes. The fly started screaming so the other flies came and started attacking the burger and the rat but the rat just tried to eat them but he failed so then he decided he’d go take a bite out of the burger but the flies didn’t want him to eat the burger they wanted to eat the burger so one of the other flies went right in front of his mouth and got eaten by the rat. so then the rest started running away but in the Flies picked him up and took him onto and then he tried to eat it but then he didn’t he was unable to eat it because it was way too big for his mouth so then the Flies tried to eat him. The rat’s parents and family came over to see him but when they saw him standing on top of a burger then they got really really angry so then they decided to pick the rat up and take him back home but then the rat bit them and then but each other for like 20 minutes and then the Flies came in and the Flies got Eden by every single rat and once the fight was finally over all of the rats and flies lived in peace and tried to eat the burger together they only ate about five bites each and old stuff and crunchy cheese and pickles so then the rat was like really annoyed with everyone so she decided would be mean to his family and sneak the flies into the able to steal things from the rats family.

Firstly on Monday mashup I made a maze using Google sheets I first started with a black big square and think where to put my start and my end and I put my in end down on the bottom in the middle and did my start at the top in the middle I was thinking on what  I was doing but to decided to make two lines on the side of the start and put theses lines I  the middle so if someone was doing the maze they cant see the other side but I was thinking how to get to the end I thought for a minute I had a genius idea I don’t know how to explain how I did the maze but this is my maze I made.

I made a seal with a tuxedo and a  briefcase like a business man in Google sheets , this was pretty easy because I could think of it in my mind. First I made the little face with a smile then I added the tuxedo and the arms which were a bit harder then the legs and shoes and briefcase. Overall it was not that hard I  found it pretty easy. I had one problem which was getting the photo on  it was hard but I figured it out.

Have you ever made anything in pixel art?

For Monday Mashup I made a flying squirrel．It was difficult to  make the flying squirrel. That’s because I worked hard so that the acorns in my hands, the outlines, and the face, tail, and belly match as closely as possible. I’m happy that they turned out pretty cute. But they don’t look very much like a flying squirrel, so I’m a little disappointed. I want to make them even cuter and learn how to make them better going forward.

This week I have learned about whales and how they are getting extinct. I learned about six mane ways that whales have been getting killed. they are: Illegal whaling, Noise Pollution, boat and and ship strikes, by catch deaths, climate change and marine pollution. My class learned how we can keep whales safe by just doing every day things like not dropping rubbish and not wasting water. I worked on a slideshow about keeping whales safe on Canva. People have been working on keeping whales safe and what we can do to help them. You can help whales to, like by not littering and not wasting water. but there are so many different ways and you just have to find them. Did you know? Japan killed 24,908 whales  from 1985 to 2024.

This week I have learnt a lot about different things in te reo maori. We are learning to write structured sentences. 1 sentence we have learnt is ‘’Kei te horoi i ona rigaringa;; [ The boy is washing his hands] and ‘’ kei te panui  pukapuka raua/te mama, [They are reading] .I did enjoy this because it is so fun`

This week I have learnt about softball in Hakinakina. We went out to play, which was quite fun. I actually play softball. But the first time we went out we played with a soccer ball which was super easy to hit. I hit it super far which felt super good because I haven’t hit a softball in ages. We have a torment at Shirley intermediate but last year they beat us but i wasn’t playing.
